China Steel Research & Development signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Huawei Technologies Co., LTD., focusing on cutting-edge and common technologies to build a joint innovation center to carry out product research and development. China Steel Research Institute has built a public service platform for intelligent manufacturing standards testing and verification in the steel industry based on the industrial Internet, forming a service system covering comprehensive service capabilities, resource sharing and task coordination such as new technology verification, product performance evaluation, standard application and promotion, which can provide "one-stop" public services for the full life cycle of intelligent manufacturing standards in the steel industry.

China Steel Research Institute actively helps promote the green transformation and upgrading of the steel industry. China Steel Research Institute undertakes the soft research project of "Support for the implementation plan of Green and low-carbon upgrading of key industrial industries", and participates in the research of policy documents such as the "Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the green Development of Manufacturing Industry" jointly issued by seven departments such as the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, to provide support for the green transformation and upgrading of the industry. At the same time, the efficient green smelting team of China Steel Research Institute has developed and formed a steel making process control route with the characteristics of the project through the analysis of the law of rapid slag formation of hot metal, low-slag smelting process, low splash enhanced oxygen supply and other technical research, and established an integrated technology management system and evaluation system for steel making with high efficiency, low carbon and low cost. In China Baowu, Jianlong Group and other iron and steel enterprises to form a demonstration base, effectively solve the industry pain points. After the implementation of the project, the energy consumption of refining and continuous casting processes has been reduced by 34.9% and 20%, respectively, and the relevant technical achievements have reached the international advanced level.

Process optimization and intelligent operation is an important proposition for the high-quality transformation and development of the iron and steel industry. Relying on the National Key Laboratory of Metallurgical Intelligent Manufacturing System, the artificial intelligence project team of China Steel Research Institute pioneered the whole process and multi-factor dynamic intelligent control system, which was successfully applied to the process optimization and intelligent operation project of Tanggang New District, reducing the cost of tons of steel by about 30 yuan, and the cost of a single line by 18.98 million yuan per month. It has become a benchmark case for the intelligent operation of the whole process in the steel industry.

Since 2023, China Steel Research Institute has made a lot of achievements in hydrogen energy utilization from key materials to device integration, and provides system integration and engineering services. In the field of hydrogen storage, China Steel Research Institute has built a solid-state/high-pressure composite hydrogen storage device with the highest pressure and largest hydrogen storage capacity in China; We have accumulated rich practical experience in the design and manufacturing capacity of large-scale hydrogen storage devices, and have independent development and manufacturing capabilities, which can meet the demand for high-capacity and high-safety storage and transportation solutions in the future hydrogen energy economy. In terms of fuel cells, China Steel Research Institute has established a full-process production line for metal bipolar plate stamping, welding and coating, an automated stack assembly production line, a adhesive production line and a test production line.
